研究领域

聚焦黏膜免疫与肠道菌群稳态,为炎症及抗肿瘤免疫治疗提供新思路。

肠道稳态失衡不仅增加肠道感染、炎症性肠病、食物过敏、肠道肿瘤等肠道疾病发生的风险,还与其他系统感染、癌症、肥胖、糖尿病、哮喘、关节炎、多发性硬化症、动脉粥样硬化、自闭症、抑郁症等多种全身性和肠外疾病密切相关。这些疾病基本包含了大部分的慢性疾病,不仅导致患者长期经受疾病折磨的痛苦,也给国家、社会和家庭带来巨大的医疗压力和经济负担。因此,肠道黏膜免疫是关乎国计民生的基础研究方向,是当前全球免疫学界研究的重点和热点。本实验室聚焦于天然淋巴样细胞的发育和功能机制,以及黏膜部位天然淋巴样细胞与其他细胞、食物、正常菌群以及病原菌之间的复杂的相互作用关系与分子机制,并进一步分析这些相互作用机制在感染、炎症、肿瘤、过敏、自身免疫、代谢性以及神经系统等疾病中发挥的作用。

科学贡献

研究主要聚焦于黏膜免疫与菌群稳态调控,尤其是天然淋巴样细胞(Innate lymphoid cells, ILCs)的黏膜功能与机制研究,为靶向黏膜免疫系统与肠道菌群从而治疗多种相关疾病提供了科学依据,已取得的学术成果包括:(1)黏膜免疫新作用与调控新机制:发现了ILCs在多种黏膜相关疾病中发挥的重要作用,发现黏膜免疫应答过程中多种细胞的互作与机制,鉴定了多种调控ILCs以及黏膜免疫应答的关键分子及通路,揭示了相关黏膜免疫细胞与人类疾病的重要关系;(2)菌群与免疫互作对机体疾病的影响:揭示黏膜免疫细胞影响菌群稳态的作用,发现菌群在疾病发生、发展与治疗中的重要作用与机制,探索了针对疾病的新的菌群干预手段。已在Cell Metabolism、Immunity、Nature Communications等杂志发表论文40多篇,引用超过3000次。
